Contend_CMYKThe EPA has granted registration to new Contend fungicide from Syngenta for control of pink and gray snow mold on golf courses. Contend combines four active ingredients, including Solatenol, the newest active ingredient for the turf industry from Syngenta, to deliver control on fairways for 120+ days. Contend will be made up of two separately registered products, Contend A and Contend B, which will be used in combination to treat 3 acres. Spanning three FRAC codes, Contend will offer superintendents an effective solution for snow mold control. State registrations are anticipated in fall of 2016.
