Wiedenmann: Super 600

By |  September 9, 2015 0 Comments

Some of the newer warm seasons turfs such as Celebration require more aggressive maintenance programs. Instead of simply verticutting, some superintendents are fraise mowing (scalping) their fairways, roughs, approaches, and tees in order to keep the thatch under control. Fraise mowing/scalping can be accomplished by simply installing flail blades on the Super 500/600 (see attached photo). The Super 600 sweeper/verticutter/flail mower collection system by Wiedenmann has a 5.9 cubic yard hopper with a high dump reach up to 83”. The enviro-friendly airflow path ensures complete filling of the container. In addition, the Super 500/600 works extremely well as a core pulverizer. Verticut spacing ranges from ¾”, 1 ½”, or 2 ¼”. Options include a core pulverizing kit, a golf course kit, and/or the super contour kit to avoid scalping.
