Global Turf Equipment names new VP of sales

Global Turf Equipment (GTE) has appointed Walt McMahon as vice president of sales.

McMahon, former executive vice president of Golf Ventures, has received numerous awards and accolades over the course of his 35-year golf industry career, including Jacobsen’s Dealer of Year in 2010, Helena Company’s Commission Agent of the Year from 1998-2013 and Grigg Brothers’ Top Sales Recipient for North America from 2010-13.

McMahon has been a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) for more than 30 years, and was president of the Palm Beach GCSA in 1992.

“Walt brings a unique mix of management, sales and superintendent experience to this newly-created position,” says Jim Sartain, President of GTE. “This background makes him comfortable touting the performance and financial benefits of our pre-owned equipment to turf care professionals and golf course owners and operators alike.”
