Envu launches Signature Xtra Stressgard Liquid fungicide for golf course superintendents

Signature Xtra Stressgard Liquid fungicide — a new liquid formulation of fosetyl-aluminum (fosetyl-Al) from Envu — is now available for golf course superintendents. Developed for the golf and fine-turf market, the product is designed to deliver the performance that golf course superintendents expect from Signature Xtra Stressgard in a more convenient, easier-to-use formulation.
“Signature and Stressgard products have earned the trust of golf course superintendents over many years for many reasons,” said Jeff Kwiatkowski, head of turf and ornamental, U.S., Envu. “Customers have been begging for a liquid formulation of Signature Xtra Stressgard fungicide to improve their application experiences and overcome the challenges with traditional formulas. No one in the world has the dedicated resources and focus to generate this one-of-a-kind solution. At Envu, we start with the customer, and within our turf and ornamental team, we obsess over making the superintendents’ jobs easier. This product does that and more.”
The new liquid fungicide follows 12 years of research, development and global collaboration. Envu scientists and formulation experts from North America and Europe overcame significant technical challenges to bring this liquid formulation to market.
“Envu innovation doesn’t stand still even with already successful solutions,” said Mark Schneid, head of North America, Envu. “By transforming this trusted chemistry into a liquid formulation, we are providing greater convenience, consistency and ease of use while preserving the performance that golf customers have come to expect. This launch reflects our commitment to continuously improving solutions that help our customers succeed.”
Key benefits of Signature Xtra Stressgard Liquid
Signature Xtra Stressgard Liquid is a systemic fungicide that enhances plant health, helping cool and warm-season turfgrass withstand biotic and abiotic stress. It serves as the foundational component of disease and plant health programs on greens, including Pythium diseases, anthracnose, Microdochium patch, algae suppression, leaf spots and bermudagrass decline.

Additional benefits include:
- A new easy-to-mix liquid formulation that offers a more natural green turf color.
- Stressgard technology that boosts photosynthesis while improving tolerance to abiotic stresses such as traffic, heat, shade, winter injury and low mowing.
“We are incredibly proud of our powerhouse innovation team for solving customers’ needs,” said Patrick Burgess, Ph.D., solution development lead for turf and ornamental, Envu. “Golf course superintendents tell us the new liquid formulation is increasing efficiency for their crews — they pour it in and go — no foaming, no clogged sprayers. All this while expanding the label to Microdochium patch and algae suppression which are two important needs that we heard echoed from our customers, it’s truly exciting for the entire global golf industry.”
Signature Xtra Stressgard Liquid is available in the U.S. and will expand to Canada in 2027.
