Control Solutions (CSI) named Jim Davis as southwest area manager for its Quali-Pro division.

Davis has 35 years of turf and ornamental experience. He has worked in distribution sales and management in Arizona and California. He has also worked in manufacturing sales and management in various capacities over his career. He was extensively involved with the establishment and growth of Eco Soil Systems and Turf Partners, which were later acquired by Simplot Partners.

“With Jim’s professionalism, competitive spirit and drive, I have no doubt he will quickly grow CSI’s business and influence through marketing the Quali-Pro brand in Arizona, California, Nevada and Hawaii,” says Rick Grant, Quali-Pro’s business director.

Davis is a licensed California Pest Control Adviser and has been heavily involved with the California Golf Course Superintendents Association (GCSA) and San Diego GCSA.

Davis began working on a golf course in high school, which inspired him to attend Purdue University. He graduated from Purdue with a bachelor’s degree in turfgrass science and is now located in San Diego, Calif.
