Troon selected to manage courses in Texas and Montana
Troon recently announced it will manage Heritage Ranch Golf & Country Club in Fairview, Texas, and Black Bull Golf Club in Bozeman, Mont.
At Heritage Ranch, Troon Golf, the resort and daily-fee division of Troon, will manage the golf operations, agronomy, retail, sales and marketing, as well as food and beverage at the club.
The club features an Arthur Hills-designed golf course that measures 6,988 yards from the back tees and plays to a par of 72.
“After 20-plus years of successful growth in the golf and hospitality markets, Heritage Ranch was ready to move to the next level,” David Shisler, HOA board president at Heritage Ranch, said. “Troon’s wealth of experience combined with their state-of-the-art technology and exceptional training programs are a perfect fit, positioning Heritage Ranch to confidently move well into the 21st century.”
At Black Bull, Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon, will manage golf operations, food and beverage, golf course agronomy and membership marketing.
“The Bozeman area is beautiful and the Black Bull community takes full advantage of the incredible views and dramatic scenery,” said Darrell Morgan, senior vice president of operations for Troon. “I’m really excited about our partnership with Black Bull Golf Club. Our Troon Privé team is focused on elevating the member and guest experience.”
Black Bull is a private golf community located on 500 acres in the heart of the Gallatin Valley. The Tom Weiskopf-designed, par-72, 18-hole layout opened for play in 2008 and measures 7,239 yards from the back tees.
In August, Troon acquired a golf technology and service company, ClubUp.
