Spectrum Technologies releases WatchDog wireless cellular rain station

Spectrum Technologies Inc., Aurora, Ill., introduces a new cellular, solar-powered rain station to provide remote rainfall data.
The 8-inch diameter Rain Collector meets the specifications of the National Weather Service. The collector is freeze-proof and designed for years of accurate, trouble-free service and includes two U-bolts for mounting to a 1.25-inch pole.
The 4105 Cellular Rain Station is solar powered and can function wherever an LTE-M signal is available. Rain data is transmitted to the cloud software platform, SpecConnect, and is also visible on the WatchDog Mobile App.
The setup of the station is through the WatchDog Mobile App. Once activated, current rain conditions can be viewed from anywhere. An Alerts Package within SpecConnect can be added to notify the user when rainfall exceeds the desired threshold.
