Golfdom Editor-in-Chief Seth Jones visits Kyle Briscoe from SePro at the GCSAA Conference and Trade Show to talk about their product Stricore.

Seth Jones: Hey everybody. It’s Seth Jones, Editor-in-Chief of Golfdom Magazine. I’m at the GCSAA Conference and Trade Show, being joined by Kyle Briscoe with SePRO. Kyle, thanks for taking the time. I know it’s a busy day for you guys, but you got a little time for us.

Kyle Briscoe: Yes, sir.

Jones: So it was a big deal. Everybody’s talking about a Stricore. Go ahead and walk us through. Why are people excited about this product?

Briscoe: Stricore, first new active ingredient, pre-emerge active ingredient for the turf market in over a decade. So it’s not an egg, right? It’s turf ornamental. Safe, very safe on both cool season and warm season. And controls a lot of annual grass weeds.

Jones: Okay, give me a couple. Like, what are some of the things that you’re really proud of about it?

Briscoe: Excellent goosegrass control, okay, Poa control, crabgrass control fits in a program, again, both cool and warm season turf.

Jones: Okay, great, great. And you know everybody’s getting excited about PGRs? So what are you doing for your customers with PGRs?

Briscoe: So you know, we’ve got three PGRs: Cutless, Legacy, Musketeer. Each has a certain fit, both cool season and warm season. I always say, hey, what’s your objective? Do you want to regulate bent? Are you looking for Poa suppression? We have the PGR in our portfolio to fulfill that objective.

Jones: Okay, great. What do your customers really know you guys for? What is it that makes you guys easy to work with?

Briscoe: I think it’s the customer service, right? And the in the knowledge that we provide, not only our sales specialists, but I try to make the rounds. I cover the entire country, and really get around and talk technical with Supers.

Jones: You get to see a lot of golf.

Briscoe: Yes, sir, a lot of good golf courses.
