Meet me on No. 17: What better spot to meet up with the crew from Quali-Pro than on No. 17 at TPC Sawgrass? Left to right is Ryan Karapas, marketing director, Quali-Pro; Allan Fulcher, vice president of turf, Quali-Pro; Seth Jones, editor-in-chief, Golfdom; Jeff Rampino, Florida Territory manager, Quali-Pro; and Erica Cardenas, marketing communications manager, Quali-Pro.

The big oak on No. 6: Expect this tree to garner a lot of attention on No. 6. The original tree was lost in 2014, and this winter a new one was put in its place. “It was a pretty epic project,” Andrew says. Plotts says the project turned out even better than he hoped. “Right now, the players seem to like it… but it’s a practice round,” he told Golfdom. “We’ll see how they like it once the tournament begins.”

Here’s some need-to-now info: Andrew thanked the maintenance team’s sponsors (in today’s case, Quali-Pro and Floratine) then gave the crew a weather update and informed them that the police were ready to help them get to where they needed to get on the golf course — and encouraged them to briskly get to their vehicles so they could roll out.
