PBI-Gordon receives major employer award by Shawnee Chamber of Commerce

The Shawnee Chamber of Commerce (Kan.) revealed the recipients of its annual Shawnee Business Awards at a ceremony held at Lake Quivira Country Club on Nov. 13.

These awards honor outstanding contributions and leadership within the Shawnee business community, recognizing organizations and individuals who have made a significant impact on economic growth, community welfare and business development.

Among the winners was PBI-Gordon, which the city recognized as the 2024 Major Employer, an award celebrating its commitment to providing career opportunities and supporting Shawnee’s workforce. According to the Chamber of Commerce, PBI has focused on sustainable growth and dedication to fostering a positive work environment while contributing to the region’s economic health.

“We are excited to pay tribute to our honorees for the good they have done in our community. Together we grow.” said Ann Smith-Tate, CEO of the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce. “These award recipients embody the spirit of collaboration and growth that defines Shawnee’s business community. We are honored to celebrate their achievements and look forward to their continued success as they shape the future of Shawnee.”
