PBI-Gordon adds to its marketing team

Jay-YoungPBI-Gordon hired Jay Young as herbicide product manager on its marketing team. Young will be responsible for planning, developing and directing product strategies and marketing programs for the company’s herbicide brands.

Young brings almost 20 years of experience in the professional turf industry to PBI-Gordon. He was most recently global specialty solutions product manager at FMC Corp. Prior to that, he was assistant superintendent and director of agronomy at several prominent golf courses, and was a territory manager for Harrell’s.

“PBI-Gordon has earned a reputation for quality and service,” said Young. “We have some exciting innovations coming down the line. I’m excited to be a part of it.”

“We’re thrilled to have someone with Jay’s industry knowledge and experience at PBI-Gordon,” said Carrie Bergman, director of marketing for PBI-Gordon. “His expertise and enthusiasm for the turf business will make him a great asset to our marketing team.”

A St. Louis native, Jay earned his Bachelor of Science from Auburn University, majoring in agronomy and soils, with an emphasis in turf grass management. He also earned an MBA from Webster University.
