The Ocean Course at Hokuala, on the Island of Kaua‘i is a championship golf course located just minutes from the Lihue Airport and Nawiliwili Harbor. Featuring 18 holes of Jack Nicklaus Signature golf, the course boasts the longest continuous stretch of oceans holes in all of Hawaii, providing more than one-half mile of unobstructed Pacific Ocean views. It is said that when Nicklaus created the original layout in the late 1980’s, the terrain lent itself so well to his vision that he made but a single change to his original layout. The Golden Bear was again called upon again in 2011 to redesign the back nine of his famed course. He created three new holes, installed new TifEagle greens on every hole and added white silica sand bunkers.
