Nufarm Americas has appointed Cameron Copley to golf national account manager, a newly-created role for its turf and ornamental segment.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to develop relationships with top influencers and superintendents of the golf course industry,” Copley says. “My overarching goal is the overall development of the Nufarm product line to the marketplace and ultimately connecting the end-user to the tools they need for their various management programs.”

Copley, an 11-year green industry professional, started playing golf at four years old. He went on to work on golf courses throughout his high school and college careers before becoming an assistant superintendent at two country clubs in North Carolina.

“I grew up with a passion for the game of golf that’s grown to include a passion for golf courses,” Copley says. “I’m looking forward to becoming more involved in the golf industry and improving superintendent business.”

Before being appointed to the new position, Copley was responsible for managing the Nufarm Southeast Region in the turf and ornamental segment. He was present for the integration of the Clearly Chemical line in 2013, and has most recently been working to integrate the Valent Professional Products line into the Nufarm product portfolio.

Prior to joining Nufarm in 2011, Copley was a sales representative at Cardinal Chemicals. There, he started the turf and ornamental division, which has grown to become a significant player in the industry in North Carolina. Copley holds a bachelor’s degree in agronomy from North Carolina State University.
