New website created for ALT 70 fungicide updates
A new website, ALT70info.com, has been established for news and information updates on ArmorTech ALT 70 fungicide following an investigation and stop sale by United Turf Alliance (UTA) after recent incidents of compromised turfgrass quality.
“I understand the concerns and questions golf course superintendents and others may have,” Tim Zech, president of UTA, says in a news release. “I want to assure them that we are working with the product manufacturer, our partners and University researchers to quickly and thoroughly investigate the incidents where turf damage was reported.”
Last week, Zech visited two golf courses where turfgrass was allegedly compromised by UTA’s fungicide. On June 5 he sent a stop sale letter to customers. He says in the news release that university cooperators who know the product from trials and use since 2007 are gathering details and investigating the incidents.
“At this time, UTA is doing everything we can to provide answers for this situation, and we are taking steps to prevent further issues,” Zech says.
In addition to ALT70info.com, new information will be shared on Twitter @ALT70info and Facebook.
