Golf course developer and construction company Landscapes Unlimited appointed Larry Barefield as senior project manager. Supervising company field managers, Barefield will also closely collaborate with golf course owners, architects and others.

Barefield’s career started at age 22 at the construction divisions of Robert Trent Jones, Sr., Robert Trent Jones, Jr., and other golf and civil construction companies. His previous work includes Mirabel Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., RTJ Golf Trail at Ross Bridge in Hoover, Ala., and CordeValle Golf Club in San Martin, Calif.

In addition to projects in 29 states, Barefield also worked in Ireland, the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas.

“(Barefield) is hands-on in the field, optimizing construction teams’ outputs, design intent, maintenance efficiencies and other best practices, so golf course owners derive tremendous value from our work,” Brian Vitek, COO of Landscapes Unlimited, said.

Landscapes Unlimited’s project management framework includes activity and resource planning, organizing and motivating project teams, monitoring time management and progress, cost estimating and budget development and analyzing and managing project risk.
