GMS hires Jim Allison as vp of business development
Twenty-four-year golf industry veteran Jim Allison has been named vice president of business development at Arizona-based Golf Maintenance Solutions (GMS), the company announced in a press release.

In his new position, Allison will be responsible for identifying strategic growth opportunities for the company and helping to enhance the GMS brand, while building relationships and maximizing value for existing clients. In addition, Allison will focus on opportunities with maintenance contracts, consulting agreements and other specialty services that GMS provides for the client.
Allison joins GMS from Arcis Golf, where he served as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Previously he spent more than 22 years with American Golf in a succession of executive-level sales, marketing and business development roles, most recently serving as senior vice president of sales and marketing overseeing a network of more than 100 premium private country clubs, daily fee courses and municipal golf facilities. During his time at American Golf, he built and managed a national sales organization with revenue in excess of $150 million, in addition to developing integrated marketing strategies and driving strategic revenue planning for acquisitions and new business development.
Founded in 2003, Golf Maintenance Solutions has experience overseeing the maintenance of more than 170 golf courses nationwide.
