Engage is now Belchim

Engage Agro USA, LLC officially became Belchim Crop Protection USA, LLC on Jan 1. Belchim headquarters will be in Wilmington, Del.

Tom Wood has been appointed general manager of the renamed company.

The buyout of Engage Agro in May 2017 provided a ready-made platform toward global expansion of Belchim Crop Protection’s agrochemical and bio-based product portfolio and corporate brand. For more than 30 years, Belchim has provided agricultural customers internationally with more than 100 products. The Belchim name, well known abroad, will now be recognized in the United States.

Establishing a new corporate headquarters in Wilmington, Del. presents a fresh start and professional face to customers, the company says, and is desirable because of the geographic accessibility of the Belgium and Canadian office. Additionally, the East Coast is a hub to multiple agricultural chemical companies, an expected boon to future business growth.

Wood will take on the overall leadership of the team in the United States.
