DryJect announces new franchise expansion in Illinois
DryJect recently announced the expansion of its business operations with the addition of a new franchisee. The establishment of this new franchise territory will provide service to the states of Wisconsin, Indiana and the Northeast corner of Illinois (Chicagoland).
Jim Alvarez, of Sod Squad Chicago, Sod Squad Wisconsin and Sod Squad Indiana, purchased these DryJect franchise territories.
After graduating from Indiana University, Alvarez began his business career at the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. Alvarez took the money he made from trading and went on to invent the Hammy putter. Years later, Alvarez says the Hammy helped Natalie Gulbis wu an LPGA tournament and Spencer Levin to win on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2023.
In 2011, Alvarez founded Gesture, a software technology company that helps charities raise money. Over the next 12 years, he says Gesture helped their charity partners raise more than $6 billion.
Alvarez bought Innsbrook Country Club, Merrillville, Ill., in June of 2021.
