Course of the Week: Landscapes Unlimited enhances two courses at Desert Mountain Club

Landscapes Unlimited recently completed enhancement projects for two golf courses at Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Collaborating with Nicklaus Design, Marvin Mills Irrigation Consulting and Desert Mountain’s agronomic team, Landscapes Unlimited’s work at the Renegade course included the construction of a new driving range to accommodate a new clubhouse build, re-surfacing and re-seeding of fairways and tees from bentgrass to ryegrass and several changes to the first hole.

The company also expanded and enhanced the driving range tee area at the Apache course. Desert Mountain previously received new grass for its greens in 2021.

“Desert Mountain boasts an iconic collection of golf courses and associated amenities,” said Dave Linngren, vice president of the west region for Landscapes Unlimited. “Our ability to help deliver extraordinary experiences to its members and their guests is our focus.”

The course is in a private community with six Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses accompanied by No. 7, an 18-hole, par-54 course Bill Brownlee and Wendell Pickett design.
