Course of the Week: Keystone (Colorado) Resort
Keystone Resort in Keystone, Colo., has recently opened its two 18-hole golf courses for play.
The River Course at Keystone, situated along the Snake River and among the Rocky Mountains, is a par-71 Hurdzan-Fry-designed course. It has earned a number of accolades from Golf Magazine and Golf Digest, including best mountain course, best wildlife experience, best service and best on-course views.
Keystone Ranch Golf Course is a Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed course, sitting at 9,280-feet above elevation and a short drive from Denver, Boulder and surrounding areas.
“The golf offering at Keystone is truly unmatched in Colorado,” says Steve Corneillier, Keystone Resort’s director of golf and recreation. “We have 36 holes designed by world-renowned course architects, the perfect summer climate to enjoy play throughout the day and a lively resort atmosphere making it a destination the whole family can enjoy.”
Keystone offers programs and clinics, including private lessons with PGA teaching professionals, ladies play days, group clinics and junior programs. It also has free nightly junior golf, “Time for Nine” rates and SNAG (Starting New at Golf) Golf.
Keystone is the only 36-hole golf facility in Summit County, according to a news release sent by Keystone.
