Brandt promotes two to leadership positions

Brandt, an agriculture retailer and manufacturer of specialty Ag products, promoted two to its senior leadership team in its Specialty Formulations division.

The company promoted Brian Haschemeyer to director of discovery & innovation. This role grants Haschemeyer critical division-wide responsibilities, overseeing all agronomic support, product development and laboratory services.

Additionally, Brandt promoted John Guglielmi to national sales director, covering Ag, turf & ornamental, adjuvants and aquatics products. Guglielmi will lead a deep, experienced salesforce of 32 professionals, covering 49 states.

Haschemeyer, 40, has been with Brandt for ten years, most recently as manager of chemistry and laboratory services on the Discovery & Innovation team, working on a wide range of products to improve plant health. A native of Central Illinois, Haschemeyer has a BS in Chemistry from Western Illinois University. He recently authored Brandt’s inaugural patent application for a humic-acid product he helped develop.

Guglielmi, 53, spent the last year as Brandt’s director of business development. He has over 25 years of experience managing, marketing and selling Ag, turf and ornamental products. He has held numerous management positions where he was responsible for setting strategic direction and delivering a profit. Immediately before joining Brandt, Guglielmi served as senior vice president of fertilizer sales at QC Corporation, a Verdesian Life Sciences company.

Guglielmi holds two masters degrees, an MS in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University and an MBA from Indiana University. He also holds a BS in Botany from Auburn University.
