bayer_SignatureXtraEnvironmental Science, a division of Bayer CropScience LP, has launched Signature Xtra Stressgard, a new formulation to help achieve turf health and disease control on greens.

“At Bayer, we know superintendents face countless biotic and abiotic stresses as they work to maintain pristine turfgrass, particularly on greens,” says Mike Hirvela, fungicide product manager for the professional turf and ornamentals business at Bayer. “That’s why we’re pleased to be able to enhance one of the leading products on the market and give superintendents a new tool to manage stressors with more flexiblility than ever before. Signature Xtra Stressgard allows superintendents to unlock turf’s maximum potential and provides the ultimate reliability and peace of mind they’ve come to expect from Bayer solutions.”

Bayer says Signature Xtra Stressgard offers:

  • Updated label language, outlining disease control and plant health benefits, including: the alleviation of both abiotic and biotic stresses, antioxidant properties leading to oxidative stress protection, enhanced root growth, wilt protection, mitigation and recovery from wear stress, as well as improved turf color, quality and density.
  • A 25 percent reduction in the active ingredient rate from other Bayer Signature products. The reduction in the active ingredient allows for the optimization of physiological plant processes and the natural growth of the turfgrass plant itself.
  • An improved flexible rate structure, customizable for 7-, 14- and 21-day application intervals.
  • New packaging, available in four 5.5-pound bottles/case to help optimize usability and storage.

Signature Xtra Stressgard is designed for protection from biotic and abiotic stresses, improved aerification recovery, winter recovery and early spring green-up, according to Environmental Science.
