First up at the podium was Carol Rau, golf career consultant and owner of Career Advantage LLC. The topic of her lecture focused on advancing your career and standing out in the industry. She detailed how to get the attention of potential employers through a breakdown of a solid resume, interviewing tips and highlighting your strengths.

This topic is one that many assistant superintendents in the room were very interested in learning more about. Throughout the last few days, many of the attendees have discussed their long-term goals. Almost everyone has included becoming a successful superintendent as a major goal that they would like to achieve in the next few years. That next step is a major reason they were excited to attend the Green Start Academy. They have eagerly soaked up information about budgeting, building professional relationships, keeping the right people and interviewing for the next position over the last few days. All of the knowledge gained and the connections made may help them in the future.
