World of Golf Foundation, We are Golf announce organizational changes
The World of Golf Foundation and We are Golf (WAG) team announced several organizational changes.
Steve Mona formally retired in December from the World Golf Foundation. He has been retained as a consultant with sole focus of leading the 10-plus year WAG initiative.
Additionally, Andrew Yeast has joined the WAG team as a senior manager. Yeast has an extensive background in golf, most recently serving as a regional director for the American Junior Golf Association, where he had comprehensive responsibilities for a portfolio of tournaments. Andrew will work closely with Mona, focusing on all activities associated with WAG.
Jane Fader, vice president, communications and marketing for First Tee, and the members of her team will oversee communications, marketing and events on behalf of WAG.
Peggy Norton and Diane Kearns will be leaving the World Golf Foundation on May 31. Norton spent the past eight years as project manager including operational oversight of National Golf Day among her many duties. Kearns served as Mona’s executive assistant for the past 11 years.
James Cramer, vice president of communications, will be leaving in September of this year. He has overseen all of foundation’s communications efforts.
