The Andersons Inc.’s Humic DG and Black Gypsum DG products have received Organic Input Material (OIM) certification in California, according to a news release from The Andersons Inc.

The OIM program registers fertilizing materials to be used in organic crop production, which complies with the California Fertilizing Materials Law and Regulations as well as the USDA’s National Organic Program standards. The two products already carry Organic Materials Review Institute listings for organic use.

Humic DG and Black Gypsum DG are humic acid-based, soil-applied amendment solutions designed to enhance soil microbial activity and increase the uptake of applied nutrients, the company says. The patented dispersing granule technology provides dry, spherical granules that dissolve into thousands of microparticles upon contact with water.

Humic DG and Black Gypsum DG can be applied through variable rate technology equipment or directly applied in the in-furrow, bedding, broadcast and strip-tillage methods. Humic DG and Black Gypsum DG also can be blended in all fertilizers materials, including urea, according to the company.
