Turfco’s third generation of Kinkeads, friends and supporters recently honored the lifetime achievements of former Turfco CEO John Kinkead Sr., on Oct. 17, during the GIE+Expo.

It was a bittersweet celebration as Turfco marks 100 years in the turf care industry and the passing of John Kinkead on Oct. 1.

At the event, Turfco President George Kinkead and Executive Vice President Scott Kinkead spoke about their father’s numerous innovations, patents and collaboration with industry professionals to drive new solutions to turf industry maintenance challenges.

“We wanted to celebrate and basically say thanks to the industry for this great opportunity to be working on making turf maintenance equipment in the lawn care and golf and sports turf markets for 100 years,” Executive Vice President of Turfco, Scott Kinkead said.

The Kinkeads also announced the launch of the T5000 spreader sprayer.

“It’s a new riding spreader/sprayer. Our focus on this machine has been really like how are we helping land care and landscape professionals deal with the labor issue and be more productive,” Kinkead said.
