Trojan Battery Co., manufacturer of deep-cycle batteries, has expanded its presence in Chile by naming Emasa Equipment and Machinery as a Trojan master distributor.

Emasa, which is based in Santiago, Chile, and distributes a variety of products for the industrial equipment and automotive industries in the region, will be responsible for overseeing the distribution and servicing of Trojan deep-cycle batteries in the country and surrounding region.

“Working closely with Emasa enables Trojan to provide expanded sales and technical support services specifically dedicated to customers in Chile,” said Mat Segal, senior vice president of global business development, Trojan Battery. “By growing Trojan’s distribution network in this region, we can readily meet the demands of customers in a variety of market segments which rely on deep-cycle battery products to operate electrical equipment.  Emasa operations throughout Chile will provide the high level of support our customers have come to expect from Trojan.”

Emasa will supply and support Trojan’s deep-cycle batteries used in golf and electric vehicle, aerial work platform, floor machine, renewable energy, and marine markets.

“The selection of Emasa as an authorized master distributor for Chile expands Trojan’s presence in the country as a supplier of the industry’s leading deep-cycle batteries, and is the culmination of Emasa’s 15-year relationship with Trojan Battery in the Chilean market,” said Samuel Stehberg, battery product manager, Emasa.  “Our alliance with Trojan Battery enables us to service customers with quality deep-cycle batteries from a manufacturer with more than 85 years of experience in the industry.”
