Trinity Forest’s Kasey Kauff to speak at Summit

The 2019 Golfdom Summit is right around the corner, and Golfdom magazine is pleased to announce that Kasey Kauff, director of grounds at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, will be giving the second of two keynote presentations at the event. Also presenting at the event will be Carlos Arraya, CGCS at Bellerive CC in St. Louis, giving his presentation “Leading with Agility.”

Kauff and his team have successfully hosted the PGA Tour’s AT&T Byron Nelson at the course for the last two seasons, receiving high praise from players and media alike for the conditions of the course — not bad for a site that was previously a city landfill. Kauff has more than 20 years experience in the industry, having previously worked under Ken Mangum, CGCS, at Atlanta Athletic Club and hosting the 2011 PGA Championship, won by Keegan Bradley. Kauff’s presentation will be on the topic of zoysiagrass and how the versatile turf has allowed his team to reduce maintenance practices at the course. Kauff will also speak on the challenges of hosting the AT&T Byron Nelson and how his team has learned the intricacies of the young course over the last few seasons.

“I’ve known Kasey since his days as an assistant at Atlanta Athletic Club, and it’s been fun watching him raise to the upper echelons of our industry,” says Seth Jones, editor-in-chief of Golfdom. “Anyone who knows Kasey knows he’s not just an insightful superintendent, but also an insightful person.”

Both Kauff’s and Arraya’s presentations are sponsored by Nufarm. Previous speakers at the event include industry luminaries such as Annika Sorenstam and Rees Jones.
