Toro debuted various new products at the 2024 Golf Course Superintendents Association of America Conference and Trade Show in Phoenix, Ariz. The Lynx Drive is a new platform for managing golf course irrigation systems. According to the company, it will inform superintendents and crew of everything happening on the course.

The Lynx Drive’s design is for use on tablets and smartphones. The interface will feature larger buttons and texts for enhanced visibility. It can also pinpoint an issue report and associate it with a specific station. The entire crew can view these alerts.

A main feature of the platform will be SmartNotes, which can display a device name, who performed operations and date and time stamps on photos. The history on a note can be maintained for up to a year.

There are mapping features that enable users to include files shareable through desktop and mobile programs.

“We’re incredibly proud to debut the new Lynx Drive at the 2024 GCSAA Conference and Trade Show,” said David Angier, marketing manager at Toro. “We fully anticipate Lynx Drive to do just what its name entails — drive productivity, labor savings and more efficient use of water for golf course superintendents in real-time.”

Additionally, the Performance Series Nozzle from the company is designed for the Flex800 and Infinity sprinklers.

According to the company, it worked to simplify the design process and apply one model color for each main nozzle to optimize installation and water delivery.

“Toro takes a holistic view of the golf course, seeking to offer solutions that provide uniformity, versatility and efficiency,” said Andy Strother, product marketing manager at Toro. “The newly refined offering creates increased water distribution uniformity on the course, which combined with sprinkler and nozzle versatility ultimately results in even greater efficiency.”

Irrigation consultants are now able to connect the nozzle sets with their respective performance data. Color-coded charts and corresponding performance files help designers to run virtual sprinkler performance analyses to better understand the irrigation needs at a course-specific level.

Toro also updated the IntelliDash platform, helping superintendents monitor, manage and maintain the health of their operations. Functions include real-time operational data, such as labor, asset location, equipment health and agronomic conditions.

Additional product features are myTurf Pro integration, Toro Irrigation National Support Network (NSN) package integration, geofencing, weather averages, weather evapotranspiration forecast and language options.

“The new updates we’ve introduced to the IntelliDash platform bring together key course elements to provide course managers and superintendents greater visibility to course health and unique access to equipment fleet and irrigation data,” said Norma Frotton, product marketing manager for the Toro golf irrigation business.

According to Toro, IntelliDash will continue to integrate products like Lynx Central Control. This year, the company will also introduce the IntelliDash Alliance, built from industry partnerships to maximize the IntelliDash single platform experience.
