Teleli Golf Club selects Troon to manage operations, agronomy and more
Teleli Golf Club in Sonora, Calif., selected Troon to manage its golf operations, agronomy and sales and marketing. Indigo Sports, a Troon company, will oversee operations at the daily-fee golf facility.
A Robert Muir Graves design, Teleli Golf Club opened for play in 1990. The 6,559-yard course plays to a par of 72 and features rolling fairways and large greens.
The Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians have owned the course since 2019 which serves as an amenity to both the Black Oak Casino Resort and the community. The name Teleli is from the Me-Wuk language and translates to Black Oak.
“We at TEDA are excited for what the future holds; this newly formed relationship is going to help benefit the community as well as the golf course,” said Darryl Tinkle, president of the Tuolumne Economic Development Authority (TEDA).
