Target Specialty Products to hold pond management webinar
Target Specialty Products will host a webinar on May 28, titled “Pond Management 101.” It will be sponsored by Applied Biochemists.
“We are thrilled to offer this first of its kind business growth webinar series on pond management,’” said David Helt, president of Target Specialty Products. “We are eager to help our customers to properly diagnose their pond problems and develop solutions.”
Doug Pullman, Ph.D., will discuss pond problems, the effect on pond appearance and the utility as an aquatic resource. He will also cover algae problems, the differences in how their systems compare to weeds and weed problems, properly aligning management expectations and how to select the best tools to achieve success.
Pullman, who joined the Applied Biochemists team in 2018, has a long history of lake management. He conducted postsecondary education at five major universities and started his career as a research and development director for the Dow Foundation. He focused on non-chemical controls for nuisance aquatic vegetation. In 1991, Aquest Corp. was founded around the belief that applied resource managers must spend as much time in the field as possible. Adherence to this core philosophy has led to the discovery of many of the newly introduced submersed aquatic invasive species in Michigan, including starry stonewort and the emergence of hybridity in exotic and submersed native aquatic plant species in Michigan.
Today, he continues to oversee the operations of Aquest Corp. and maintains close collaborative associations with university researchers, professional lake managers, and commercial AVM practitioners and contractors.
Those interested can join the webinar free of charge on Friday, May 28 at 10:30 a.m. PST/1:30 p.m. EST. Attendees are invited to ask questions at the conclusion of the webinar. Click here to register.
