Bill Stowers, a former golf course superintendent at Westmoreland Country Club in Export, Pa., has joined Aqua-Aid Solutions and Drill & Fill Mfg. as a project manager and turfgrass specialist.

Stowers has been superintendent at Westmoreland CC for the past 20 years.

“During my career as a superintendent, I was blessed to have worked at the same property for 20 years, solving many problems, meeting some great people and watching my family grow,” Stowers said. “One of the things I appreciated most was to visit with others in the industry, and try to learn, help and gather information. As I considered what might be the next chapter in my career, I wanted to continue to do these things that I enjoyed. Aqua-Aid Solutions has been solving problems for turf managers for 35 years and has evolved with the industry. I am thrilled with the opportunity to join this family, faith-based company that is looking towards the future. I am excited to bring my experience and common-sense approach to the team, to help turf managers solve problems, learn and grow.”

Stowers will reside in central North Carolina with his wife Polly and three children Anna (21), Karena (16) and Wilson (12), and will cover the Carolinas and Virginia with his post at Aqua-Aid. He will focus on dealer support in the Mid-Atlantic region for both companies and will handle project management for Drill & Fill on the East Coast.

“I’ve known Bill since 1995, and he has many unique characteristics that made him a great choice to bring on our team. To use the baseball analogy, he is a utility infielder; his experience and passion for the turf business will allow him to easily transition into his sales and support role,” Sam Green, president of Aqua-Aid Solutions said. “We are extremely fortunate to have Bill Stowers join our team.”
