Staples Golf names new Vice President of Design and Management

Staples Golf Resource Group, LLC. And Andy Staples, ASGCA Associate have named Doug Long Vice President of Design and Management. His responsibilities will include assisting in servicing the company’s current design projects across the U.S. and playing an increased role in the management of the firm’s expanding energy and water conservation projects.

“We’ve been fortunate to see an increase in renovation projects actually going to construction this year,” says Andy Staples, owner and principal architect of Staples Golf.  “And combined with the increased demand of our energy and water efficiency services, Doug will step right in to manage our workload using his vast experience in the golf industry.”

Doug has worked in the golf industry for more than 35 years. He has worked on the World’s Top 100 list, received the coveted Golf Course Builders Association of America (GCBAA) “Builder of the Year” award and past seminar instructor at the Golf Industry Show hosted annually by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA).
