Smithco releases electric bunker rake

Smithco has introduced its Sand Star E electric-powered bunker rake.

The Sand Star E is powered by a 48-volt continuous AC induction Mahle industrial-rated motor with peak torque of 83 N-m.

Operators can travel from hole to hole at 10 mph and travel up to 5 mph in reverse. The company said this bunker rake will cover every bunker on an 18-hole course on a single charge of six 8-volt batteries.

Smithco said developed the bunker raker due to growing interest in quieter equipment.
