Saturday morning at the Dean & DeLuca Invitational
I’m here at the Dean & DeLuca Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas. Yeah, the name takes some getting used to, but it’s still the same great course, same great crew: Colonial CC, AKA Hogan’s Alley, led by Scott Ebers, CGCS and Co. It’s my second time to the tournament, but the first time I’ll get to be here for the weekend rounds.
I’ve got a dinner meeting soon, so I don’t have a whole lot of time to post, but I thought I’d get some photos up real quick before I head out. I’ll add captions as time allows…

For new dad and Assistant Superintendent Greg Caldwell (left), the 2016 Dean & DeLuca Invitational will be his swan song with the Colonial… on Monday, he leaves for a job at the Greenbrier. Pictured here with PGA Tour Agronomist Harry Schuemann — best of luck Greg!

Breakfast this morning was courtesy of Longhorn Inc., North Texas’ Rain Bird irrigation gurus!

Since there was a lightning/rain delay yesterday, the crew snuck in a wall-to-wall fairway mow in 90 minutes today, at the end of Round 2 and before Round 3. For a small crew like they have here at the Colonial, it was a great team effort.

Whipping clippings. Whipping them good.
