RIGCSA awards 2019 scholarships

The Rhode Island Golf Course Superintendents Association (RIGCSA) awarded $20,000 in scholarships for the year 2019 to 10 students.

Each of the following students received a scholarship of $2,000.

Ryan Reynolds Legacy Scholarship

• Emma Colombo, University of Massachusetts (Amherst)

The C. Richard Skogley Memorial Scholarship was awarded in March to Ryan Restivo, who is a student at the University of Rhode Island.

Each year, the RIGCSA hosts a golf tournament in which all proceeds go to providing scholarships to deserving students and funding research at the University of Rhode Island. This year, it will host the 37th Annual Scholarship and Research Tournament at Fall River Country Club on Oct. 1.
