Pursell Agri-Tech has expanded its team with the addition of Eric Ellison, an experienced broadacre and specialty crop agronomist and researcher. Ellison will work closely with the Pursell Agri-Tech team to improve understanding of product applications at the field level and to support R&D efforts, commercial strategies and key partnerships.

“I am excited and extremely grateful for the opportunity Pursell Agri-Tech has afforded me to help establish its innovative, next-generation controlled release fertilizer technology,” said Ellison. “Growers need practical and reliable approaches to increasing fertilizer use efficiency. As a technology, controlled-release fertilizer not only reduces nutrient loss, but also makes fertilizer applications less complicated or worrisome. As a research manager and field scientist, my goal at Pursell is to create understanding that makes fertilizer inputs more efficient and effective for all growers and for meeting societal demands for a cleaner environment.”

Ellison’s experience includes work in both academia and industry, focused on research, education and product development. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in soil science and doctorate in chemistry. For the past 15 years, Ellison has worked as an industry agronomist, primarily in NA agricultural markets for companies including Nutrien and Koch Agronomic Services, with an emphasis on improving fertilizer use efficiency, plant nutrition and plant health.

“We’re delighted to have Eric Ellison join the Pursell Agri-Tech team,” said Nick Adamchak, Pursell Agri-Tech CEO. “He is passionate about understanding the exact performance of the fertilizer in real-world applications and thus enabling our customers to obtain optimum outcomes, sharing his experience with controlled-release fertilizer as a way to do that consistently and sustainably.”
