At the 2019 Carolina Golf Course Superintendents Show, in Myrtle Beach, SC., Progressive Turf Equipment announces the pre-production release of its newest mower to their expanding product lineup, the TDR-X (pronounced TDR- ‘10’).

The TDR-X is a contour roller mower featuring a 10 and a half foot wide cut. According to Progressive Turf Equipment, the TDR-X is both productive and agile. With 3 independently floating decks, the mower will closely follow the contours of the golf courses, producing a quality cut.

The mower has maintenance-free blade spindles and, according to Progressive Turf Equipment, is more economical to run than a self-contained rough mower. The TDR-X is available in either traditional Progressive red or industry green paint options.

“Our design goal was to make a roller mower that was specifically designed for the contours of a championship golf course,” said Rob Janmaat, general manager, Progressive Turf Equipment. “Starting from what we have learned building roller mowers since 2006 in widths up to 30 feet, we incorporated the suggestions we received from both our customers and dealers in its development. The TDR-X is the most agile and compact roller mower we’ve ever made, and with our Pro-Flex, 120B customers can choose between two styles of contour mowers get the one that best suits their needs.”

The Carolina show will give turf professionals their first look at the compactness and simplicity of the TDR-X which gives this roller mower the turf-hugging capabilities they need and require. Innovative TDR-X designs, such as the Adaptive Swivel Hitch, field-proven HEX shaft roller-ends and bearings, 6-way floating decks, a lack of grease fittings and no daily grease points will give superintendents an edge by reducing their operating cost while increasing their productivity.

The TDR-X incorporates several features that are unique to Progressive such as the choice of blades (replaceable tip or one-piece), blade overlap and a simple and low-effort deck lock release/Lift-N-Turn system.

With full production slated for the spring of 2020, Progressive Turf Equipment will be unveiling a pre-production model at the Carolina GCSA Conference and Trade Show Nov. 18-20, 2019.
