“With our current growth, we took this opportunity to split the Midwest region. This will allow us to have better alignment for our growing portfolio and customer base,” said Justin Watts, national sales manager for Prime Source. “We are thrilled to bring on two highly experienced individuals who will continue building upon the successful relationships in these territories.”

Daugherty will be responsible for Minn., Iowa, Mo., N.D., S.D., Neb. and Kan., and Rom will be responsible for Texas, Okla., Ark., N.M., and Colo.

Daugherty has more than 35 years in the turf and ornamental industry, including over five years as a territory manager with a basic manufacturer and 30 years as a golf course superintendent. Daugherty has also grown a full-service lawn and landscape company, giving him a unique background in both the golf course and lawn industry that will help him in assisting distributors and lawn care operators.

Rom has more than 20 years of distribution experience within the turf and ornamental industry. He started his career as a distributor sales representative and progressed in his roles as a sales manager, operations manager, branch manager and turf and ornamental market manager.
