PLANET releases H-2B wage update

WASHINGTON—The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) has issued the following statement:
Earlier this morning, the House of Representatives approved a Senate passed bill to fund the federal government through September 30, 2013 – the end of fiscal year 2013. The bill extends the current legal language on the H-2B wage rule and extends the prohibition on DOL implementing the rule until the end of the fiscal year. The bill now goes to President Obama’s desk, where he is expected to sign the measure in the coming days. PLANET will continue to fight against implementation of both the H-2B wage rule and the H-2B program rule.
