While working in the media tent we looked over and saw Quail Hollow Superintendent Keith Wood doing a television spot with a local network. The cameras just seem to find this guy!

A maintenance team member drops some fresh pine straw onto a stretch of muddy material.

Tuesday evening maintenance was the first time this week that the team raked the entire bunker and then rolled the walls again. This process was done to prevent any algae from forming on the bunkers. Also, the bottom of the bunkers were raked four times.

We guess this what a Tuesday practice gallery looks like when the reining Open Championship winner (Jordan Spieth), the reigning U.S. Open winner (Brooks Koepka) and another U.S. Open winner (Dustin Johnson) play together.

The turf near the edge of some of the cart paths was worn away after a wet day combined with foot traffic and cart traffic. Quail Hollow Intern Will Laine put his back into his work today, stamping the loose soil and mud.
