Oleada Los Cabos, a new 860-acre oceanfront resort community in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, that includes Oleada Golf Links, luxury real estate and two five-star resorts, has named Mario Navarro as golf professional and Tadd Chapman as food and beverage consultant

Navarro brings more than two decades of experience in golf operations across Mexico, the U.S. and Central America to his role at Oleada Golf Links, an 18-hole, links-style signature championship golf course designed by Ernie Els.

Born in Ciudad Juárez, Navarro competed at the NCAA Division I level for the University of Texas in El Paso where he won the New Mexico State Amateur Championship before transitioning into golf operations in 2001.

He has held leadership roles at Cabo del Sol and Querencia, where he spent a decade and helped organize the acclaimed Cabo Collegiate tournament, as well as La Reunión Golf Resort in Guatemala, where he hosted a PGA Tour Latinoamérica event for five consecutive years. Since returning to the Los Cabos area in 2019, he has continued to work with some of the region’s most distinguished resort and private golf clubs.

A longtime resident of San José del Cabo, chef Tadd Chapman has spent the past 28 years opening and operating some of the region’s most recognized restaurants, including The Tulip Tree, Habaneros, Don Sanchez, Local Uno, Retro Burger and Shooters. Recognized as one of Mexico’s top chefs, he is also the owner and operator of Baja Luna, a luxury event venue focused on refining service, sustainability and the spirit of Baja.

Both Navarro and Chapman will play instrumental roles in shaping the future golf, dining and hospitality experiences at Oleada Los Cabos as it prepares for the grand opening of Oleada Golf Links this November.
