Marina Bay Golf Course is Singapore’s first two-in-one golf course. The current course configuration will be known as Course A, and the new configuration, Course B, will be opened to the public on May 3.

Course B paves the way for golfers to experience the course in a different light and derive a different experience out of playing 18 holes, the course said.

While the individual hole layout remains unchanged, the routing from hole to hole is different in Course B. Course A is comprised of an inner and outer loop of two sets of nine holes, both of which lead to the clubhouse. Course B features some holes crossing over to the inner loop after hole five. For example, the existing ninth hole will become the 18th hole, and the existing 18th hole will become the 10th hole for Course B. With the change in hole sequence, golfers who are familiar with the existing golf course layout will have to change their game plan accordingly.

Adding a new dimension to the game is the allocation of handicap strokes for each hole in Course B. One can expect two different outcomes when playing on Courses A and B, the course reported.

To mark the launch of Course B, all golfers playing 18 holes in the afternoon on May 3 will be invited to participate in a four-hole singles match. The golfer who ins more holes than his opponent will stand to win prizes sponsored by Marina Bay Golf Course.

“We are committed to deliver not only amazing value, but also a golf course that’s truly a golfer’s delight. The novel concept of a two-in-one course is a prelude to more exciting initiatives that are in the pipeline,” said Ng Ser Miang, chairman of NCI Golf Pte. Ltd.

Course B will be available to play from Wednesday to Sunday on every alternate week after the launch.
