Latshaw, Bisker earn excellence awards

Paul B. Latshaw, CGCS at Muirfield Village Golf Club, Dublin, Ohio was honored for Professional Excellence by the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation (OTF) at its annual meeting in Columbus, Ohio, on December 3-5.

Latshaw, who has been running a sterling operation for over a decade at Muirfield, prepared his course for two major tournaments this year. A short three months after hosting the 2013 Memorial Tournament in June, he provided a beautiful setting for the President’s Club. That makes Muirfield the only course in the world to host The Ryder Cup, Solheim Cup and The Presidents Cup.

Also honored for Professional Excellence was Jeff Bisker, whose lifetime of work includes Your Lawn, Inc. business in Columbus. Bisker was cited for the large volume of volunteer work he does with veterans cemeteries both in Ohio and in the Washington, D.C. area.

Next year, the OTF will meet December 9-11 with both seminars and the trade show floor. Note that after many years in Columbus, Ohio, the 2014 OTF meetings will be held in Sandusky, Ohio.
