KemperSports selects Josh Ward as VP of new business development

KemperSports, a golf, sports, entertainment and hospitality company, selected golf industry veteran Josh Ward to join the KemperSports team as vice president of new business development. In his new role, Ward will expand KemperSports’ roster of managed and leased daily-fee courses, private clubs and destination resorts.

“Josh has a great background in golf and resort operations with a focus on generating revenue,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “That keen understanding of the golf industry and passion for helping grow companies will make him a great addition to our team.”

Ward worked in revenue management and business development in the golf course management business for the last six years where he helped drive incremental revenues and secure several new management agreements. He began his career in sales with NBC Sports/Golf Channel before spending time in resort operations and revenue management at PGA West and La Quinta Resort.

“For more than 40 years, KemperSports has been a leader in managing some of the most highly regarded golf courses and resorts in the country,” Ward said. “Our shared passion for delivering exceptional service to our clients and guests make this a great fit.”

Ward received his bachelor’s degree from Miami University in 2013 and his MBA from Ohio University in 2020.
