John Deere names Top Golf Dealer and Turf Bowl winner at 2024 GCSAA Conference

John Deere honored its Top Golf Dealer during the 2024 Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) Conference and Trade Show in Phoenix, Ariz. The company named Revels Turf & Tractor as Golf Dealer of the Year during a presentation held at the conference.

“Our dealers continue to provide unwavering support to the golf industry and because of them, we are trusted by the top courses around the globe,” Manny Gan, global director of golf for John Deere, said. “The impact they make on not only the golf industry, but also the communities they serve, is one to be celebrated not just today, but every day.”

John Deere also announced Purdue University as the winner of the 2024 GCSAA Collegiate Turf Bowl during the show. Purdue University received a traveling trophy and $4,000.

The winning team competed against 63 student teams representing 28 colleges and universities from across the United States.

The company crowned Purdue for their industry knowledge and problem-solving skills demonstrated through a variety of tests designed to showcase participants’ performance in high-pressure situations that closely mirror those faced by supers every day.

This year, the company awarded a total of $10,000 in cash and prizes to the top teams in the competition.

“Each year, Turf Bowl student participants demonstrate the expertise needed to succeed in the golf industry and the performance of the Purdue University team is no exception,” Gan said. “Through our partnership with GCSAA, we are able to empower the next generation of superintendents and golf professionals and we are looking forward to seeing them reach new heights in their careers.”
