John Deere introduced several new products, including a greens mower, fairway mower, utility rake and Gator UTV offerings at the 2023 GCSAA Conference and Trade Show.

“Our customers are always looking for new and more-sustainable options on the golf course. That’s why we are introducing new solutions to help reduce the carbon footprint of golf industry,” said Kim Ehasz, global manager of market development and strategy at John Deere. “These new pieces of equipment are just the beginning of what John Deere is looking to do as we move into the future.”

The company’s new products are available for order in the U.S. starting Feb. 13.

The new 6700A and 7700A E-Cut Hybrid Fairway Mowers are capable of mowing, verticutting and scalping. The company says the 6700A is the first three-wheel stance fairway mower with 7-inch reels and an electric reel drive.

The TruFinish 1220 Utility Rake is equipped with an updated hydrostatic drive with selectable 2-wheel drive or 3-wheel drive. Additional features include a larger engine and increased fuel capacity compared to previous models.

The 185 and 225 E-Cut Electric walking greensmowers have an independent floating cutting unit mounted on the front and are powered by a 58-volt, 3.56 kwh maximum lithium-ion battery. According to the company, the mowers allow users to mow an estimated 50,000 square feet on a single charge. Both machines come equipped with a dual traction drum for ease of control when turning and use the same attachments as the 180, and 220 E-Cut Hybrid Walk Greens Mowers.

The company’s Gator GS features a 14.25 HP (10.63kW) gasoline electronic fuel-injected engine. The 48V utility vehicle uses an AC drive motor and controller system to help maintain torque. The operator station includes high-back bucket seats, two standard USB ports and multiple storage compartments. Each unit is also shipped with a dealer-installed standard canopy.
