Seth Jones: Oh, hey. It’s your pal, Seth from Golfdom Magazine. Happy Halloween, everybody. I hope you’ve seen the October issue of Golfdom. It has a spooky theme. The cover story is 10 True Tales of Terror, as told to me by golf course superintendents from around the country. As you can imagine, some of the stories are legit spooky, while others are just funny. So check out the new issue, and I hope you’ll send me your stories for next year, because I’d love to bring this feature back in 2025.
SJ: But there’s more in this issue than just the spooky stuff. We also have articles about how to make your golf course turtle friendly. We have an article about what storm runoff might be doing to your golf course ponds and we asked six experts about how much snow is too much snow for your greens and when is the best time to remove that snow. So, Happy Halloween. The October issue is out. I hope you check it out. I’ll see you guys out there on the golf course.

Seth Jones, a 25-year veteran of the golf industry media, is Editor-in-Chief of Golfdom magazine and Athletic Turf. A graduate of the University of Kansas School of Journalism and Mass Communications, Jones began working for Golf Course Management in 1999 as an intern. In his professional career he has won numerous awards, including a Turf and Ornamental Communicators Association (TOCA) first place general feature writing award for his profile of World Golf Hall of Famer Greg Norman and a TOCA first place photography award for his work covering the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. In his career, Jones has accumulated an impressive list of interviews, including such names as George H.W. Bush, Samuel L. Jackson, Lance Armstrong and Charles Barkley. Jones has also done in-depth interviews with such golfing luminaries as Norman, Gary Player, Nick Price and Lorena Ochoa, to name only a few.
