Indigo Golf Partners recognizes national and regional award winners

Indigo Golf Partners, owner-operator of more than 160 golf courses, country clubs and resorts in 29 states, named the winners of its annual national and regional awards.

In its 32nd year operating, Indigo Golf Partners honored exceptional team members and facilities who excel in guest and client satisfaction, operational excellence and business performance, all while holding true to company values. These national and regional awards identify the “best of the best” in various categories including “General Manager of the Year,” “Superintendent of the Year” and “Facility of the Year.”

“Our annual accolades highlight leaders who not only go the extra mile for our Indigo team but the industry as a whole,” said Alex Elmore, Indigo Golf Partners president. “Each of our high-performing colleagues represent our values each day and continue to build the greatest team in golf.”

ACE Award: ZSTRICT in Stamford, Conn., earned the award for embodying the spirit of treating each guest to a well-conditioned facility, friendly and welcoming service and genuine respect for each person’s time.

Indigo Future National Award Winner: Monty Duncan of Brentwood Golf Course in Jacksonville, Fla., earned this honor for being an integral part of shaping young golfer’s lives. His superior coaching and ability to foster an environment for growth is what sets Monty apart.

Superintendent of the Year: Jerry Cotton from Joe Louis “The Champ” Golf Course in Riverdale, Ill., was honored for going above and beyond in all areas of agronomic management. Respected by his co-workers and peers, Cotton has accomplished significant layout goals and improved each aspect of the Joe Louis facility.

General Manager of the Year: David Peru of Kenton County Golf Courses in Independence, Ky., earned the award as the premier industry role model to emulate. Peru drives success at Kenton County through the empowerment of his team members. Peru exhibits “above and beyond” performance in all areas of club management, staff development, guest experience and revenue growth.

Facility Top Performer: Alhambra Golf Course – the 18-hole short course in Alhambra, Calif., earned the sought-after prize as Indigo’s most successful facility based upon financial performance.

Facility of the Year: Delcastle Golf Club – the well-respected public course in Wilmington, Del., won the distinguished award for best all-around service, operations, agronomic conditions, and financial performance.

Virginia Support Office ACE Award: Scott Kravitz, marketing manager, in the VSO received this award for his continuous and outstanding support of local and national employees. Kravitz continuously goes above and beyond for his colleagues in the field each day.
