OnGolf, a cloud-based decision making platform for improving golf course management, has partnered with Hunter Industries. The partnership comes after OnGolf’s recent addition of eight new system integration partners.

“Our alliance partnership with Hunter Industries is significant for both OnGolf, Hunter and the industry as a whole,” says Walt Norley, OnGolf’s chief executive officer (CEO). “Hunter is the first large irrigation company to join our platform, which is consistent with Hunter’s history of innovation, and their leadership in supporting disruptive solutions in the turf industry. They understand that OnGolf provides a holistic operating approach which allows all essential course management elements to be viewed and managed in one place leading to cost reductions while improving turf conditions.”

Hunter Industries has provided irrigation for golf courses since 1983, and is OnGolf’s first major irrigation manufacturer partner. Through the partnership customers will see relevant irrigation data along with weather and soil variables all on one dashboard. Golf course superintendents and managers now have the capacity to optimize water management with access to irrigation information remotely, on a browser or on a mobile device.

“The OnGolf decision platform is the perfect complement to the capabilities of our Pilot Control System. We believe in keeping the irrigation decisions in the hands of the Superintendent. OnGolf assists the user in making sound, data based, irrigation decisions that can be implemented, in minutes, from a single screen, in the Pilot Command Center,” says Jon Truttmann, Hunter’s director of market development.
